This unit’s sonar capabilities come in a wide range. Apart from the standard dual-frequency cones put out by most finders the Elite 7 can also use CHIRP transducers in order to provide you with an amazingly sharp and accurate view of what’s underneath your boat. The CHIRP can be used in three different frequencies ranging from 50kHz to 200kHz, with the lower end able to read down to an astonishing 3,000 feet.
The unit is also capable of DownScan Imaging, allowing you an accurate and clear view of the lake bottom beneath you for up to 300 feet. Since the Elite 7 features the ability to split screens so you can view through multiple frequencies at once you’ll find that you have an amazing range of information to help you at any given time.
Even better, you’ll be able to overlay CHIRP readings onto your DownScan imagery in order to give a complete picture of what exactly is happening beneath the water’s surface.
